The Confederation of Co-operative Housing is the UK organisation for housing co-operatives, tenant controlled housing organisations and regional federations of housing co-ops. The website provides many useful links to other Housing and Co-operatives based sites as well as information on trainings, conferences and up to date news affecting the realm of co-operative housing.

 

TPAS- The Tenant Empowerment Organisation - Helping landlords and tenants to work together to build great commmunities and providing free training and advice for tenant

Housing Ombudsman Service was set up by law to look at complaints about housing organisations who are registered with them. It is free, independent and impartial. The Housing Ombudsman will resolve disputes involving tenants and leaseholders of social landlords. Residents can contact the Ombudsman at any time for support in helping to resolve a dispute although generally they would expect residents with a complaint to have gone through their landlord's complaints process first.

 

NFTMO  - The National Federation of Tenant Management Organisations is a voluntary group set up to facilitatie networking and support for Tenant Management Organisations across England

 

LFHC - The London Federation of Housing Co-ops is a group which has met for nearly thirty years in London. It has provided training and support for many housing co-ops in the London area and provided a point of contact to meet and network with members from other co-ops and community housing groups.
