Resident Involvement

Co-op Homes is governed by a Board of Management Committee made up of fifteen unpaid members who meet regularly throughout the year to direct policy and make major decisions on housing matters.

The 15 strong Management Committee comprise:

  • 5 elected tenant shareholders
  • 5 members elected by our affiliated Housing Co-operatives
  • 4 independent experts
  • 1 appointed representative from our parent company, Richmond Housing Partnership

All tenants of Co-op Homes are tenant shareholders and have the right to stand for election to the Board of Management Committee and to vote for representatives at their Annual General Meeting (AGM). We welcome interest from all tenants, regardless of sex, age or ethnicity who would like to be involved at this level.

Co-op Homes also has a number of Tenant Management Groups where residents can discuss issues such as major works programmes or environmental improvements for their estates. The Tenant Management Group meeting dates are set out in advance and follow a schedule - Meetings are held in the evening and notices are sent to all tenants in the area at least 7 days before the meeting.

For greater opportunity to help shape and comment on all Co-op Homes' services we also have a Customer Reference Panel.  Our Customer Reference Panel meets at intervals to look at service delivery across the organisation and to recommend changes where necessary to ensure that we are meeting the needs of all our customers.

If you would like further information or would like to be involved in any of our resident involvement opportunities we would be delighted to talk to you further.

Please do not hesitate to contact us at our Brentford Office or speak to your Housing Officer.
